Welcome to the 2nd Annual Valley Animal Hospital Tucson Canine Classic

We invite your entire family and pet(s) to participate in the 2nd Annual Valley Animal Hospital Tucson Canine Classic, Tucson's largest dog-walk and newest Pet Festival! The inaugural event was a huge success, 200+ pet parents and 300+ dogs participated and had a great time! Walk/run 5K or 1 mile with hundreds of friends to raise funds for local rescue groups. Folks without dogs are also invited! Part of the proceeds will benefit the Foundation for Animals in Risk (FAIR) and hundreds of dogs in need.

Visit the Pet Festival and the 50+ exhibitors. Food, fun, music, Doggy Fashion Show, Doggy Talent Show, Kids' and Puppies' 100 yard dash and much more. Vaccination Station will provide free microchips to the first 100 participants and discounted ones for the rest of your pets. Please visit their booth at the expo to pick up a coupon for your free microchip.

Our mission is simple: promote microchip awareness and healthy families & pets, raise much needed funds and supplies for FAIR and offer an outstanding family festival!

Rent-a-Pet

If you would like to participate but you don't have a dog feel free to "rent" a dog for the duration of the event. Visit the FAIR booth before the start for more information.

Vaccination Requirements

Dogs need to have their current rabies, bordatella, distemper and parvo vaccinations and applicable boosters. We recommend to avoid the event with your young puppies but if you want to participate make sure your animals have had their complete series of at least 3 vaccinations.

We won't require or check your vaccination record and it's your responsibility to bring healthy and vaccinated dogs to the event. Please use common sense and ask your vet if you have any questions or you need help with your pet.

Safety Measures

To avoid any heat related and safety issues you can rely on the following:

• drinking water at start/finish and every 1/4 miles
• plenty of shortcuts if you feel exhausted
• law enforcement on stand-by
• ambulance and emergency vet on stand-by
